Aadhaar eSign API for HR Onboarding
Every new joiner signs a stack of documents: offer letter, appointment letter, NDA, policy acknowledgements. The SignYu API lets your HRMS or ATS send them for Aadhaar OTP eSign the moment an offer is approved, and file the signed PDF against the employee record when the webhook arrives. Pricing is from ₹15 per signature (₹15 per signature on packs of 10 or more), with API access at ₹999/month with a 3-day free trial.

Non-disclosure agreement
Standard pre-joining NDA. Works well as part of the same PDF as the appointment letter so the joiner signs once.

For campus and summer interns, often signed before a college can issue the internship letter.
Self-declarations
Address, education and previous employment declarations, plus background verification consent.
Experience and relieving letters
Issued at exit. The company signatory eSigns so the former employee receives a verifiable PDF.
How the integration works

Offer approved in the ATS
Your ATS renders the offer letter PDF from its template with the candidate's CTC and joining date.

Create and add signers
POST /api/v1/documents with the PDF, then POST /api/v1/documents/{id}/signers with the candidate first and the HR signatory second, so signingOrder matches who signs first.

Send
POST /api/v1/documents/{id}/send. SignYu emails each signer a link, and the response includes each signUrl so your candidate portal can show a Sign now button.

Candidate signs
The candidate opens the link, verifies with Aadhaar OTP, and signs. A signer.signed webhook lets you mark the offer as accepted in the ATS.

File the signed copy
On document.completed, fetch GET /api/v1/documents/{id} and download from downloadUrl into the employee's document folder before the presigned link expires.
Legal validity
Aadhaar eSign through SignYu is issued via eMudhra and is valid under Section 3A of the Information Technology Act, 2000. The First Schedule of the IT Act excludes some documents from electronic signing: negotiable instruments other than cheques (such as promissory notes and bills of exchange), powers of attorney, trusts, wills and other testamentary dispositions, and any contract for sale or conveyance of immovable property or any interest in such property. Employment documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, NDAs, policy acknowledgements and experience letters are ordinary contracts and records, so they can be eSigned. Stamp duty on employment agreements and bonds depends on the state; check whether your agreement attracts duty. A person must hold an Aadhaar with a linked mobile number to sign with Aadhaar OTP, so keep an alternative for joiners who cannot.

Frequently asked questions
Can the candidate and HR sign the same document?
Yes. Add both as signers on one document. Each signer uses one credit, and each gets their own signing link.
Do joiners need to install anything?
No. The signing link opens in any browser. The joiner enters their Aadhaar number on the eMudhra gateway, receives an OTP on the mobile linked to Aadhaar, and signs.
Can we eSign documents for a foreign national?
Aadhaar eSign needs an Aadhaar with a linked mobile number. Foreign nationals without Aadhaar cannot use it, so keep another signing route for them.
How do we bulk send offers during campus hiring?
Loop over your selected candidates and run the create, add signers and send calls per candidate. Make sure your credit balance covers the batch first, because send returns 402 insufficient_credits when it does not.
